NOTE:- Flemish AND English Bonds are intended for 215 (or thicker) walls. Stretcher Bonds are designed for 103 walls such as the outer skin of a cavity wall --- the 'overlaps' of half a brick provide maximum strength
	Brick manufacturers generally only guarantee one end of brick faced (ie to acceptable standard of quality and colour). Therefore, if Flemish Bond specified in a 103 wall the header bricks have to be cut in half (snapped headers) and as the one end not faced that half of the brick is thrown away. In a m2 of wall there would be 40 Stretchers and 40 Headers -- the 40 'snapped headers' would be made from 40 'full bricks' and 40 'half bricks' thrown away which is equivalent to wastage of 20 facing bricks per m2 ---- what a total waste of money ! Not just materials... add labour, transport, site handling....
